What is a microadventure?
The concept of a microadventure was coined by the British explorer Al Humphreys as an antidote to our busy urbanised lives, by escaping into the simplicity and wilderness of the great outdoors. A microadventure is short and simple yet still exciting, challenging and rewarding.

Our aim is to remove the barriers to experiencing the thrill of nature! No one to go with? Not a problem, you’ll meet plenty of friendly people. Don’t know where to go? We'll find great locations and give you a time and place to meet us. No idea on kit? We’ll tell you what you need and where to get it.

Microadventures are the perfect way to learn new skills, connect with great people, give your mind and body a break and reboot the soul.

Meet The Team - Simon & John
Both former Royal Marine Commandos, our journey started in 2009 whilst serving with UK Special Forces. Working in a job that placed huge demands on the body and mind, and where second place could result serious injury or death, sparked a deep interest in human performance. Now our passion is sharing the lessons we have learned with as many people as possible, to help everyone achieve the best health they can.

Drawing from expertise gained during our military careers we are also dedicated to creating bespoke, high quality training & experience packages that are fun and enriching. Between us we have traveled and worked across the globe, from patrolling under humid jungle canopies in Malaysia, climbing the High Tatras in Slovakia, to skiing the icy snowfields of Norway.

What happens when we wild camp?
The beautiful thing is it's completely unique every time depending on who comes along and what they bring! We have had fine wine tasting, sparklers, games, story telling and so on! You are welcome to bring drinks and anything you think will make the evening more fun!
I don't have any kit, what should I do?
You only need the most basic kit for wild camping. When you sign up we will send you a list of everything you need (it's not much!). You probably have some of it already, or perhaps you can borrow some, and we'll find you the cheapest way to get the rest. The great thing is once you have it you can go on unlimited adventures!
What if I don't have anyone to come with?
Not a problem! You'll be in good company as plenty of people come on their own. Our microadventures are a great way to meet people and make new friends! Groups are obviously welcome too!
Is food provided?
No, you'll need to bring 24 hours worth of food, a lunch, dinner, breakfast and snacks if you would like them. We will cover everything to bring food wise in the emails we send you.
Can I bring my dog?
Well behaved dogs that socialise well with other dogs are welcome!
